The DOWA Group was founded in 1884 as a mining and smelting company. Since its establishment, the DOWA Group has evolved its operations in a number of directions in step with the changing times, to the extent of forging a unique recycling-oriented business structure that consists of five core businesses. The DOWA Group is now providing its services with a commitment to building a sustainable society under its mission of contributing to creating an affluent, recycling-oriented society through our business activities worldwide.

The DOWA Group is currently pursuing “Midterm Plan 2024”. The DOWA Group’s vision (our goal in 2030) is to contribute continuously to building a sustainable future through our core businesses, the promotion of resource recycling, and the provision of excellent materials and technologies. To achieve this vision, we are moving forward with initiatives to further strengthen its five core businesses and enhance its management base under a basic strategy of evolving the recycling-oriented business model and strengthening sustainability management.

Looking ahead, we will continue to pursue growth-oriented policies to solve the many social issues confronting Japan and other countries, while also advancing a range of measures to increase both its economic value and social value. In doing so, the Group will strive to increase its corporate value and contribute to creating a sustainable society.
